Hello lovely storytellers!
This will be a short one––thank you for your patience as I get settled in a new city. :)
Next week we’ll return to the deep dives. I’m already prepping for a look at the intersection of point of view and setting, and how thinking about this can make your storytelling more persuasive, authentic, and just…well, fun!
But for this week, I wanted to share out the one-pager Matt Arnold and I created for our storytelling talk a few weeks ago. For those of you who weren’t able to make it, this is a great rundown of basic story structure, the top story myths (and why they’re wrong), and a few more quick storytelling tips!
Got questions about anything on the one-pager? Feel free to reach out!
Otherwise, I’ll see you next week for some thoughts on perspective and place. With a cameo from a few chirping birds. And maybe a soap store.
Happy storytelling, everyone.
